Finally, I was released. I didn’t think that it would be this lonely. It felt so short, felt like it was only yesterday that I was walking in here, thinking what it would be like 50 years from then. It was actually the first time I was being happy about not having a family, no one to miss, right?
I walked out of the ice cold freezing room to my same apartment, everything looked pretty much the same. My couch was ripped off though and my pink cap on the drawer was completely torn. I walked over to my bathroom, when I touched the door knob, the whole door fell down. I looked at my left and my bathtub was covered in thick dusts, the white towels that was hung beside it was so dirty it turned grey.
The mirror was covered in dried water stains. It was blurry, I couldn’t see anything. I wiped it with my hand, the clearer it gets, the more it revealed an unfamiliar face of mine.

Yanin Ponpayong (Mimi) Draws Her Future in Communication Design at Chulalongkorn University

Growing up in a family of artists, Yanin Ponpayong (Mimi) became inspired with a variety of art pieces.She started learning at Heathfield International School in 2004, where she immersed herself in art classes and developed new techniques and styles.Mimi is specialising in creative performances. She participated in The Voice Kids as a young singer, and also joined in many TISAC events during her years at Heathfield. We were happy to see her passionate personality, shining through at Heathfield’s Got Talent, as a guest judge recently. Her diligent character led her to get successfully enrolled in the faculty of Communication Design, at Chulalongkorn University.

4 Ways to Protect Your Children from Dengue

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is one of the dangerous diseases contracted during raining reason, especially in topical countries like Thailand. We would like to give you a few effective tips that will help to protect your children from Dengue. 

1. Keep the Body Protected  On your family trip it is helpful to let the children wear long trousers.It is also handy to apply mosquito repellent sprays & creams, before travelling out of home.
2. Watch out at Dawn and Dusk  The yellow fever mosquitoes can bite any time during the day but they are often rampant during sunrise and sunset. You can help protect your children by watching them during the two hours after sunrise and two hour before the sunset.
3. Let Kids be Away from Stagnant Water  Stagnated water bodies are the areas where mosquitoes usually breed. Being around such areas can increase the risk of being bitten and infected by the deadly virus.

TISAC Table Tennis 2018

On 22nd May 2018 Heathfield International School competed against 6 other international schools within the city.  The under 13's boys and girls gave a great account of themselves with seeds 1 (Kyle & Moji) both qualifying easily from the initial games. Kyle went on to show great determination throughout the tournament which saw him win the gold medal in the final with a great display of ping pong prowess. The game was a tricky affair to start with the Ascot under 13's representative taking the first set but Kyle showing great grit and determination to pull the game back and level the game 1-1. In the final set Kyle demonstrated technique and composure well beyond his age to win the final game 11-8.

The Under 15's girls were not to be left in the shade and following an amazing semi-final performance, the final would see Heathfield representatives; Ingfah & Boeing compete for the gold medal. In front of packed crowd both girls performed amazing well with Ingfah tak…

Seytuch Pinyoteerachod (Tiger): Heathfield Alumni Becoming A Chemical Engineering Fresher at SIIT Thammasat University

Seytuch Pinyoteerachod (Tiger), 17, grabbed many achievements throughout his lifetime both through involvement in creative industries and learning at our school since he was young.He spent an amount of quality time doing experiments in Chemistry, his favourite subject. Tiger obtained Heathfield’s Best Male Pupil awards for 2 years straight. Finally, Tiger was able to pursue his passion in chemical engineering at SIIT Thammasat University.

Pimpatai Makorntat (Lookmai): ‘Out of The Comfort Zone’ Experiences with Heathfield Before Becoming a New Engineering Student at SIIT Thammasat University

During 5 years at Heathfield, Pimpatai Makorntat (Lookmai) found herself to be an independent learner.The ‘out of comfort zone’ experiences gained here at the school was not only just in doing different lab activities, but also through canoeing and rock climbing during the Heathfield UK field trip. What she learned here with the school, in the lab and beyond the classroom, built her up to be fearless of her future.Collected new skills and incredible lab experiment researches, she was offered a placement to study Engineering at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University.
