·        Where do you come from in the UK? 

·        คุณมาจากเมืองไหน ของประเทศอังกฤษ

I come from the North West Region of England close to the city of Liverpool in place called Heswal on the Wirralpeninsular. I also spent four years living in Leeds whilst at university in Yorkshire in the North of England.

ผมมาจากเมือง Heswal  ตั้งอยู่ใกล้เมือง Liverpool ทางทิศตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือของอังกฤษ บนแหลม Wirral    ผมสำเร็จการศึกษาจาก Leeds whilst at university จาก Yorkshire  ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ทางทิศเหนือของประเทศอังกฤษ

Am I an energetic and enthusiastic person and particularly enjoy socializing, travelling and exercising. This is part of the reason I moved to Bangkok and choose to teach Physical Education as I enjoy seeing different parts of the world. I enjoy playing football in the local expat league and also watching football supporting my local team Liverpool FC.  I spend my spare time playing sport, exercising or finding new things to do and see in Bangkok

ผมเป็นคน กระฉับกระเฉงกระตือรืนร้นและชอบเข้าสังคม  ท่องเที่ยวและ ออกกำลังกายอยู่เสมอ  นี่เป็นเหตุผลหนึ่งที่ผมมาทำงานที่กรุงเทพฯ และเลือกสอน PE ผมต้องการค้นพบสิ่งใหม่ ๆ  ผมชอบเล่นฟุตบอล ชอบดูกีฬาฟุตบอล และรักทีมฟุตบอล Liverpool FC.  ดังนั้นตอนนี้ผมจึงล่นกีฬา ออกกำลังกาย และหากิจกรรมอื่น ๆ ทำอยู่ตลอดเวลาที่อยู่ในกรุงเทพฯ

 What is your plan to develop PE classes in the school?

·         ในฐานะที่คุณเป็นครูสอน PE คุณคิดว่าจะพัฒนาวิชา PE  ให้กับโรงเรียนได้อย่างไรบ้าง

I have both long and short term aims for Physical Education classes at Heathfield; firstly I want all pupils to enjoy the process of learning through ‘doing’ and ‘experiencing’ different sports and types of exercise. Secondly I want to foster a continually life-long learning mind set for all pupils to enable them to stay fit and active throughout their life, whilst also supporting students in terms of the IGCSE curriculum and extra-curricular. Furthermore specifically within lesson I want to focus on co-ordination, control, and fluency with relation to all sports as these core skills are the bases of all good sports men and woman.

        ผมมีทั้งเป้าหมายระยะยาว และเป้าหมายระยะสั้นสำหรับ วิชา PE  ที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติฮีทฟิลด์

·        ประการแรก ผมต้องการให้นักเรียนมีความสุขกับการเรียนด้วยการลงมือปฏิบัติ และเก็บเกี่ยวประสบการณ์ในกีฬาหลาย ๆ ประเภท

·        ประการที่สอง  ผมต้องการที่จะสนับสนุนให้นักเรียน มีกระบวนความคิดของเป็นของตนเองอย่างต่อเนื่องตลอดไป เพื่อให้เด็ก ๆ มีสุขภาพที่ดีตลอดชีวิตของพวกเค้า  ในขณะเดียวกัน สนับสนุนนักเรียนในส่วนของหลักสูตร IGCSE และหลักสูตรเพิ่มเติมอื่น ๆ   นอกเหนือจากนั้น ในการเรียนการสอนผมต้องการมุ่งไปที่ การประสานงาน   การควบคุมตนเอง และ มีความเชี่ยวชาญในกีฬาทุกประเภท ซึ่งทักษะหลัก ๆ เหล่านี้จะช่วยพัฒนาให้นักเรียนเป็นนักกีฬาที่ดีในอนาคต

 Do you have any sports competition plan for our pupils?

·        คุณมีแผนการแข่งขันอะไรให้กับนักเรียนเราไหม

As a developing school member of the TISAC community I would like to have strong participation rates in as many sports as possible. I want to build on previous success including swimming, football and athletics through focusing on developing skills and understanding during extra-curricular sessions. Practice makes perfect!

โดยปกติโรงเรียนเป็นสมาชิกของ TISAC อยู่แล้ว  ซึ่งจะมีการแข่งขันตลอดทั้งปี  ผมต้องการให้มีส่วนร่วมในการแข่งขันในกีฬาหลายประเภทให้มากที่สุด  ผมต้องการต่อยอดความสำเร็จที่ผ่านมา ทั้งว่ายน้ำ ฟุตบอล และกีฬา โดยมุ่งไปที่การพัฒนาทักษะ และความเข้าใจ ในระหว่างการเรียนเพิ่มเติมต่าง ๆ อีกด้วย  การฝึกฝนจะช่วยให้ทำให้สำเร็จ !

·        What do you think about PE Classes at the International School? 

·        คุณคิดอย่างไรกับการเรียนการสอน PE ในโรงเรียนนานาชาติ

I have been settling into the way of life at Heathfield and adjusting myself to the different surrounding of Thailand. I have been toughly enjoying meeting and getting to know the pupils through the medium of sport. Sport offers the opportunity to see many different social and practical skills of ours pupils compared with classroom teaching. 

โดยส่วนตัวของผมเองแล้ว ผมปรับตัวให้เข้ากับสภาพแวดล้อมทั้งในโรงเรียนและการอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทย  ผมรู้สึกสนุกสนานในการสอน และสื่อสารกับนักเรียนทางด้านกีฬา     กีฬาให้โอกาสที่จะได้มีส่วนร่วมในสังคมและการปฏิบัติต่าง ๆ ของนักเรียน รวมทั้งการสอนในชั้นเรียนด้วย

  

     Do you think that the PE classes at the School need improvement?  If so, in what way should they be improved? 

คุณคิดว่า การสอน  PE ในโรงเรียนจะต้องมีการพัฒนาไหม   หากยังต้องพัฒนา จะพัฒนาในด้านใด

I believe that all PE classes can be continually improved as no lesson is perfect, with relation to Heathfield I feel that sometimes pupils struggle with expressing their communication correctly. For example at times communication is vital to success during sport through speaking and non-verbal communication (Hand signals, pointing) etc. On the other hand choosing when this communication is vital and distracting lessons and other pupils is skill that we could improve on.

ผมเชื่อว่าการสอน  PE จะต้องมีการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งไม่มีบทเรียนไหนสมบูรณ์   ซึ่งผมพบว่าบางครั้งนักเรียนจะติดขัดทางด้านการสื่อสารที่ไม่ตรงกัน   ยกตัวอย่างเช่นเวลาติดต่อกันการสื่อสารเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ ที่จะทำให้ประสบผลสำเร็จ   ในการเล่นกีฬาจะใช้การพูดและสัญญาณมือต่าง ๆ   ในขณะเดียวกัน ในขณะที่การสื่อสารเป็นสิ่งจำเป็นและแยกออกไปจากบทเรียน และเป็นทักษะของนักเรียนซึ่งเราจะต้องพัฒนากันต่อไป

         The school will have a new football field soon, what is your plan for use of the new football field?

·        โรงเรียนกำลังสร้างสนามฟุตบอลใหม่  ซึ่งกำลังจะเสร็จสมบูรณ์เร็ว ๆ นี้   คุณมีแผนที่จะใช้สนามฟุตบอลใหม่อย่างไรบ้าง

Engage as many Heathfield pupils into football as possible as we have a great facility and the opportunity to become a strong TISAC footballing school for our size. This is a great opportunity as it gives us more space to learn new skills and develop each year group as teams.

ผมจะให้นักเรียนของโรงเรียนใช้สนามฟุตบอลให้มากที่สุด   นี่คือโอกาสที่ดีที่สุดที่จะมี TISAC ทีมฟุตบอลที่เข้มแข็ง และเป็นโอกาสที่ดีที่สุดที่เราจะได้ฝึกฝนทักษะเพิ่มขึ้น  และพัฒนาทีมฟุตบอลให้ดียิ่งขึ้นทุก ๆ ปี

·        This academic calendar year, the school will have many TISAC sports competitions, so how have you prepared our pupils? 

·        ในปีการศึกษานี้   โรงเรียนมี การแข่งขันกีฬา กับ TISAC หลายครั้งด้วยกัน  คุณได้เตรียมความพร้อมอย่างไรบ้าง

Firstly pupils sign a TISAC contract ensuring firstly they constantly show positive behaviour and secondly are committed to extra-curricular session within their chosen sport in order to qualify to represent the school.  The skills, tactics and mindset of the TISAC sports teams with reflective of training session showing good discipline, determination and having positive attitude towards sport.

อันดับแรกจะต้องมั่นใจในเบื้องต้นว่า นักเรียนมีพฤติกรรมที่ดี และมีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะทำกิจกรรมพิเศษ ในการเลือกเรียนกีฬา เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนของโรงเรียน    ทักษะ ชั้นเชิง และ กระบวนการทางความคิด ของ ทีมTISAC จะมีผลต่อการฝึกฝนอบรม ซึ่งจะแสดงถึงความมีระเบียบวินัย   การตัดสินใจ และมีความคิดบวกทางด้านกีฬา
