The ALS
Association: is an American
nonprofit organization that raises charity fund for research and patient
services awareness on issues related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS),
also know as Luo Gehrg’s disease.
The ALS
association objective:

Funding national and
international research programs from basic to clinical research
·
The organization of
scientific workshops to stimulate scientific collaborations and bring new
scientists to the ALS field.

Raising fund for amyotrophic
research and getting amyotrophic medical appliances.
The Ice Bucket
Challenge:
The Ice Bucket Challenge,
sometime called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping
a bucket of Ice water on someone’s head to promote awareness of the disease
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research. It
went viral via social media –Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Google Plus- during
mid 2014.
The challenge dares
nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on
their heads and challenging others to do the same. A common stipulation is that
nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable
financial donation.
